Launched in 2023, 'Deer Photographer of the Year' is a photography competition created to celebrate the life of deer.
By showcasing ethical deer photography, and acknowledging the skill and fieldcraft of photographers of all ages, the competition aims to:

Increase appreciation of the life of deer.

Acknowledge the role deer play in an ecosystem.

Raise the awareness of all species of deer.
To help photographers participate in the competition, we have created a range of categories to enter - six for adults and one for under 18s.

Supporting young photographers: Young photographers can enter the under 18 category to become 'Young Deer Photographer of the Year'.
